Birds nesting under solar panels is one of those problems that sneaks up on you. You don't notice it until there's a pile of debris, droppings, and nesting material packed under your array - and by then, it's already affecting your system. Out here in Victorville and the High Desert, pigeons especially love the shade and shelter that solar panels provide. It's basically a free home for them.

Here's what we were working with on this one - panels that needed a good cleaning paired with a full bird proofing install. We run a black wire mesh barrier along the entire perimeter of the array, secured tight to the panel frames so there's no gap for birds to squeeze through. It's clean, it holds up against the elements, and it does the job without damaging your roof or your equipment.

The cleaning side of things matters more than most people realize. Dirty panels don't just look bad - grime and bird droppings can create hotspots on the cells, which puts unnecessary wear on the system over time. A clean surface means the panels can do what they're supposed to do. We take care of both in the same visit so you're not coordinating two separate service calls.

Bird proofing is really a set-it-and-forget-it solution. Once that mesh is up and secured properly, you're not going to be dealing with nests and debris building up under there season after season. For homeowners in the Victorville area, it's one of the smartest maintenance steps you can take to protect your investment.
