Water damage is one of those things that sneaks up on you. By the time you notice it - staining on the fascia, erosion along the foundation, water pooling near the front door - the problem has usually been building for a while. A properly installed gutter system is what keeps all of that from happening in the first place.
We just wrapped up a full gutter installation at this home in Ontario Ranch. The home has a multi-level roofline with some real complexity to it - different pitches, a covered entry, vertical board-and-batten siding. Getting the drainage to work correctly on a layout like this takes more than just slapping up some sections and calling it done. The downspouts have to be positioned to move water away efficiently, and the gutters have to be pitched correctly so nothing sits and backs up.
What we ended up with is a clean, white gutter system that runs the full roofline and ties into well-placed downspouts on both the front and side of the house. It fits the home. It doesn't look like an afterthought - it looks like it belongs there.
Beyond how it looks, here's what matters: this home now has a drainage system that's actually doing its job. Rainwater gets collected and directed away from the structure. The siding, the foundation, the entry - all protected. That's the whole point.
We handle gutter cleaning as well, so once a system like this is in place, we can keep it clear and functioning the way it should. A good gutter installation is an investment, and regular maintenance is what protects that investment long-term.
